Panto Camp is unique because our campers finish their week by putting on a free Panto for their friends and family (unlimited guests per camper!). There’s even an Opening Night party after the presentation, so get ready to raise a glass of sparkling apple juice and toast all our young performers. Your child’s never performed in a show before? No problem! All levels of experience are invited to participate, but they need to be between the ages of 8 and 15.
All campers will receive a limited edition Panto Camp T-shirt, and a gorgeous Panto Camp Certificate that’s suitable for bedroom walls, or Mom or Dad’s office. Our Panto Camp Staff consists of counselors who have performed in our Pantos over the years, and they’ll be teaching improv technique, choreography, songs that your kids all ready know from hearing them on the radio,
It’s very important everyone realizes this is no ordinary Monday through Friday Summer Camp, as we’ll have a final Dress Rehearsal and Performance on the Saturday of the session that your child attends. Just make sure your child is available for the Saturday final presentation, or please let us know in advance if they won’t be able to attend.
Drop off each day will be at 8:45am in front of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, Green Street, Pasadena, CA 91101, and Panto Camp will be held in the air conditioned Gold Room Panto Theatre. Lunch will always be from 12-12:45pm, so don’t forget to send them with a nutritious packed lunch which we’ll refrigerate as soon as they arrive. At the end of each day pick-up will take place starting at 3pm. Rest assured that our Camp Counselors will be present at all times that campers are at the Civic Auditorium.
There will be improv classes, singing classes, dancing classes, rehearsals, the Saturday presentation performance, your young performer(s) will get to walk the Red Carpet before their Saturday show, and the show will immediately be followed by a fun professional show thats free to all campers at the Levitt Pavilion.
